The Federation of Nepali Journalists has demanded immediate release of Arjun Thapaliya, the Editor of 'Anukalpa' daily published from Golbazaar Siraha.
"The journalist based on the comments made over a news report put in the social media by using the Electronic Transaction Act is not only a misuse of the Act but also violation of press freedom," says a statement released here Thursday by FNJ Secretary Dhruva Lamsal. Thapaliya was take by police on November 22 night and is currently under custody at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Teku.
Likewise, the Federation has condemned the incident of manhandling of Nagarik daily Siraha correspondent Mithilesh Yadav and destroying of his mobile phone in the attack that took place against him on
