Mahakali’s base camp is Bhimdatta in Kanchanpur District. The zone covers the Himalayan range incorporating Api Peak in the North, Hill valleys, Inner Terai valleys, for example, Patan Municipality in Baitadi District in the inside and the external Terai in the South. The name of this zone is gotten from the Kali River.
The limit of this district was Kali waterway on the west and Seti Zone on the east. After the Sugauli Treaty (additionally spelled Segowlee) was marked on December 2, 1815 and confirmed on March 4, 1816, between the British East India Company and The Kingdom of Nepal; Kali waterway which begins from Limpiyadhura, turned into the worldwide limit with the United Provinces of British India (now Uttarakhand, India).
The coldest region in the zone is Byash and the most sweltering is Kanchanpur. The Api Himalayas lie in this zone from where Chameliya stream begins.
